Our client, a dynamic niche organisation with a fun work ethic, is looking to recruit a technical support developer who will be the main technical resource on a major client system. The focus of this role is supporting and enhancing this system and working closely with an external client to ensure optimum service is always achieved. You will also be proactive in implementing improvements. Your day to day responsibilities will be broad and varied making for an interesting role. Candidates are required to have circa 2+ years experience of Java and SQL and in particular JSP and Servlets as well as XML*XSLT. Desirable experience would be EJBs, Apache, Tomcat (or similar e.g. Websphere) and Documentum. Candidates without these desirable skills will gain the opportunity to be trained into them. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys having a varied day*week and someone who enjoys regular customer contact.
